Clean and contemporary. Rooms were actually quite spacious for Manhattan and close to the theater district. Good noise suppression for being as close to times square and having the bar upstairs.

Great property for mid-town/Times Square/Theatre district. Very convenient for moving around Manhattan. Picture m-worthy design elements with thoughtful detail. I also like the online options to pay a small fee to check in early or check out late. I would definitely stay here again..

We have stayed at many hotels but the Civilian is by far our favorite for location, staff, cleanliness, great suggestions for places to eat/shop and it was within our budget. We can’t wait to come back!

Like staying at your good friends super cool house. Good location, cool location, and nice staff. Only suggestion I have is to get rid of the key cards. Get bracelets with a cool logo on it. I would wear it for two months and advertise you. I got 5 room keys and they’re all in the trash and I had to set my coffee down when I needed to get to another floor. Lol :)
