“The neighborhood was very quiet and the house was decorated in a calming and inviting manner. The rooms were a good size and the layout worked well for my husband and I and our teenaged grandchild.”

“It's in a basement and there was a door to another part of the basement that was locked and we could see a light that was on all night on the other side. It was very quiet though, great if you just need somewhere to sleep.”

“I’ve not driven in Boston and I did not know the area. The apartment is not too far from the city as the crow flies. However, driving in the city and surrounding areas is nuts. If you are directionally challenged, it’s hard to see the street signs let alone all the lefts and rights you have to take to get there. “Family of 5 in Boston for a family funeral. The apartment is extremely clean and you have everything you need for bath and kitchen supplies. Air conditioning works great. This is a third floor property so you need to be able to climb stairs. The mattresses aren’t that comfortable as they have coils that can poke into you. “Houses from the turn of the 20th century certainly have a lot more character than they do today and the style in this building does not disappoint. It is showing its age in a few areas, though: the floors creak with every step, you also hear the people upstairs (floor, plumbing, even voices), and there's no central A/C so you're at the mercy of window units. The street the house is on is crazy narrow due to parking on both sides of the road, uber/lyft/delivery drivers had a very difficult time getting in and out. And if you miss the turn into the driveway the first time, be prepared for a challenging turn around. The apartment is clean and comfortable. My kids loved the snacks that were left, though some were really stale. uber/lyft was willing to pick up and drop off to Fenway and Commons.”
