“Clean room”

“Currently under renovation, so the new rooms look good but the older rooms seem to lack quite a bit. My room had stains in the carpet and a persistent odor. The air conditioning did not appear to work as expected (granted, it was among the hottest days of the year). There was police presence when we checked in. Not sure if this is representative of the area or just bad timing. The officer was speaking to a guest. Cleanliness: the property itself is very clean. The room seemed "good enough"……

“My husband arrived at 8:30 at night after driving 14 hours. There was a couple in front of him whose room wasn’t clean and his room wasn’t clean as well. Only clean sheets were offered and no other cleaning services were available. The hotel refused to refund and my husband left to go find another hotel that was clean. After speaking with the owner and manager, they refused to refund the money even after explaining the situation. The owner actually yelled at me over the phone when I explained……

“My biggest complaint was that despite calling the day before arrival and emailing the day of, the sofa bed was not completely ready to accommodate our granddaughter. The bed had a fitted and flat sheet but that was it. No pillow, no blanket. And we arrived late in the evening. It was bedtime. Calls to the front desk produced busy signals for over half an hour. I finally had to go downstairs to the front desk where the woman down there gave me what I needed which I had to lug upstairs……

“Extremely relaxing, very peaceful setting. From reception to departure our hosts were welcoming providing all the comforts of home . breakfast was delicious !”

“Old Hotel. Musty smell in the room floor board are rotting away. No blankets. Laundry can use some bleach.”
