“Overall I initially had a pretty good impression of the hotel and enjoyed the stay at first. However, around 1 AM, I found a cockroach in the kitchen eating my snacks, and then found more cockroaches near the bedroom door, in the bathroom, by the kitchen sink, and in the closet. Unfortunately this made me very uncomfortable and concerned about the cleanliness of the room. “The Avalon was a great spot for our family! It was clean and had kitchen amenities that were helpful- coffee maker, dishwasher, stove top pans, etc. The staff was always hospitable and kind. We loved having beach chairs and an umbrella to use while at the beach. Being right on the beach made it easy to go back and forth from the beach and the view was beautiful!
