“The room I booked is a lake view room. The view of the room is very good and the room is big enough, BUT,,,,, The blanket on the bed may NOT have been changed for a long time. The very bad smell made me unable to sleep all night. I strongly suggest that the management can quickly check every room, don't let this problem affect the reputation of the Hamptom Inn.”

“Hotel was comfortable and slept well. But the room was not cleaned as garbage from previous customer was not cleared and the towels were not changed before we checked in. We checked in a bit late around 7:00pm and still the room was not cleaned in proper way. Although the staff removed the garbage immediately when I informed them but the towels were pretty dirty and I saw that after my shower next day morning. Bit disappointed about hotel’s cleanliness.”

“Overall the property was nice-lovely even-good location on the waterfront, nice dock, outdoor firepit, etc. Room was updated and effort was noticeable. However-and this is essential-the room had a very strong musty mildew odor. It seems they tried to compensate by having the Air Conditioner on full blast-it felt like a freezer! All of the windows were painted shut-so trying to air out the room was impossible. Being on the lake is not an excuse-there have other places we have stayed near water……
