The property is Victorian chic. The stay at Middlebury was a delightful vintage experience. The room features modern furniture for comfortable sleep. The hotel is within walking distance of Main St shops and Middlebury College.

Great place outside of Stowe. We stayed in the main hotel rooms. Very clean and comfortable. My only complaint is really not their fault but the rooms in the bottom hear every step upstairs. And one night a couple came back fighting and it sounded like they were in our room. Maybe ask for room upstairs if possible.

Beautiful property with premium pricing, but unfortunately they don’t have enough housekeeping staff to clean rooms daily. They have a nice text system which allows you to communicate what you want/need but when I inquired why the bed wasn’t made and towels replaced after being gone all day no one responded for hours. I went to reception and was given a litany of reasons….staffing issues, employees who do work can’t fulfill every request, etc. I was also told I should have communicated my expectation of housekeeping in advance like it was somehow exceptional for Stowe-area hotels and I was being high-maintenance??? The property could also benefit from signs directing guests through the many stairwells, corridors and footpaths needed to get from back of property to main hotel.
