“Greatly enjoyed our stay here for a week in February. The house was home base for us as we visited the three nearby National Wildlife Refuges. House was very clean and stocked with all essentials. Clear communications with the host added to the positive experience. Was third winter we have visited Albemarle/Pamlico peninsula to view wildlife. When we return, we will definitely try and book this lodging again.”

“Great place and perfect for a guy to get away from it all, or take all the wildlife found in this area. Well-located near Phelps Lake and the Pungo Unit. It is isolated, so a visit to the grocery store on the way in will save you time if you think you will be going out for groceries later. I thoroughly enjoyed Birthday House. The host was very responsive, and the amenities were great. ”

“This is a true motor hotel, old school but better. You drive up to and park right in front of your room. There is a laundromat if needed. Nice surprise when we opened the door to our room-LVP flooring, bed lamps with usb, and c cable plug ins, direct tv with ALL the channels (so I got to watch a hockey playoff game I thought I'd have to miss), extremely comfortable hybrid bed, and VERY CLEAN. Outside has a nice grilling area with lounge chairs, a glider swing, and grilles. Price is……
