Doubletree by Hilton New York Times Square South

Doubletree by Hilton New York Times Square South

10/10 Excellent
"A fantastic stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Times Square South! 🗽❤️ The location is absolutely prime, within easy walking distance of Times Square and Rockefeller Center, with so many great places to eat and drink right on the doorstep. It was the perfect base for my NYC adventure. The rooms are on the smaller side, which is typical for New York, but I paid extra for an Empire State Building view room and the view definitely made it worthwhile! 🌆✨ Waking up to that view was pretty special. What really stood out, though, was the staff and how incredibly helpful they were. My luggage went missing at the airport, and Toni went above and beyond by finding the USA number I needed to call the airline and letting me make the call from my hotel room. My luggage eventually had to be couriered to the hotel at the end of my stay and the staff were waiting for it almost as eagerly as I was! 😂 They called me immediately when it arrived, which was such a lovely touch. Friendly, genuinely helpful staff, a brilliant location and an amazing Empire State Building view. I’d definitely stay here again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Pillows are wonderful. My room had not been remodeled yet so was pretty worn. Water in shower never got very hot. It was still a great location to be near Broadway"

"Although location is good, beds were comfortable, and I felt safe, the following made the stay less good: 1) only 2 pillows on each bed; 2) no ice machine on the 5th floor, although signs gave direction to one; 3) room did not have a small refrigerator; and 4) room did not have a small microwave."

"Nice rooms, great gym, super lovely terrace, but corridors can be a bit noisy and I heard they can be very picky or charge more for weekend access to the rooftop. But my trip was great and without issue. Bedroom door handles could be less stiff and doors close less heavily…"

Motto By Hilton New York City Times Square

Motto By Hilton New York City Times Square

10/10 Excellent
"Motto gets so many things right. The location is perfect — close to Times Square and so much of Midtown, which made it incredibly easy to use as a base, head out for a few hours, and come back to reset before going out again. What I loved most was how intentional the whole hotel feels. The lobby, seating areas and The Alderman bar are beautifully planned, and there is an immediate sense of calm when you step inside — yet the moment you walk out, you are right back in the energy of New York. The room itself is compact but very cleverly designed, calming and extremely functional. Every bit of space feels considered rather than cramped. I also really appreciated how easy and comfortable the lobby was for a drink or a quick pause between plans. For a Midtown stay, especially if the priority is location, thoughtful design and having a genuinely pleasant place to return to throughout the day, this is a fantastic base. I would happily stay again."
