“The hot tub in the room!”

“This place was disgusting! I should have known something was amiss when the total price was $180 for two nights. The lobby smelled horrible, the room was bleh, the shower had flaking paint, stains everywhere, the towels were stained! You can honestly spare a couple extra dollars and literally go ANYWHERE ELSE and get a better night stay. Oh and there is no security, I hear someone screaming for help so god knows what was happening with that. Oh, and if you like the sound of smoke detectors……

“Everything was very nice, on Saturday night there was even a nice campfire going out in the front with plenty of wood to use. Quiet and clean!”

“Great place in the middle of action filled downtown with restaurants and various museums nearby. Perfect anchor place for a vacation in Pure Michigan.”

“Awesome cabin! Very comfortable stay. Schindy’s across the street has the best pizza and drinks. Would love to stay again.”

“The price is right, it was clean and they allowed pets. But, it is an upstairs apartment of an old house in the Lakeside neighborhood with low slanted ceiling height in the entry and bathroom. It is about 3 miles to a public beach. Parking is on the street. The stairs are at a high angle and the railing is falling off the wall. Be careful. The property is not wheelchair accessible. The TV could not be controlled from the remote. There was only a bathtub - no shower.”

“Very clean and convenient location ”

“We had to leave and stay at a different hotel due to the unsanitary conditions at Whitehall Cottages. The bed had dirt and hair on the sheets and all around the mattress. There’s no staff on the property and the owner didn’t respond back until later in the evening after we were already checked in to a different hotel. When I asked for a refund I was told he couldn’t do it because we booked through Expedia…”
