"We were in the area with a thousand or so families for the Cooperstown baseball tournament. We weren’t excited about staying in a big hotel for 9 days. Based on reviews we chose this small (15 unit) motel with a kitchenette just 5 miles south of the tournament. There is a convenience store in front of the motel. It was very peaceful and quiet. "This is what a basic motel should be. Clean, comfortable with reasonable furnishing and equipment. Location is very close to the village, with a bar, diner, Chinese and two pizza places. "This is a low-end motel. There is incessant traffic noise from the highway. The only nearby eating establishment is Star Cafe, a typical greasy spoon with minimal fare. The only saving graces are the adjacent laundromat and the price. There is also a minimart by the gas station for survival needs. "

"Did not stay once we saw the property......rooms and property very dirty, not maintained, management not available when we got there. Were charged the whole price since their policy is 24 hr advance notice. Photo online is NOT what we observed. I would never recommend this place to anyone. EXTREMELY disappointed. We were on our bikes and had to ride another 10 miles before we found another place to stay."
