“Check in was easy & we were shown our room & where everything was. We were asked what we wanted for breakfast & what time. The breakfast was very good & prompt including toast & either tea or coffee. The location is very central & within walking distance & has a car park which made things easier. The only downside which was beyond their control was the 17 weeks of roadworks nearby which confused the sat nav. Definitely would use again. The gentleman who changed are room was very helpful as we requested to move to the other side of the hotel, away from the road (light sleepers) and they were happy to help. “Our stay was absolutely wonderful, had room 6 which was gorgeous, beautiful decoration, comfy beds, amazing power shower. The George is such a comfortable place to stay & relax in, the bar area especially the bit up by the fire - you feel like you could sit there for hours, which we did! Staff were so helpful and breakfast was great too. We'll be back, thank you for a lovely stay.”

“The staff are always welcoming from day one. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and found it a very enjoyable experience. There has been the odd little glitch but rectified right away. The only one problem we found that if you don't want to use your car and want to use the bus service you have to walk into barnsley interchange to go anywhere its a 20 minute walk across a very busy roundabout and road. The rooms are always very clean and tidy but still an excellent place to stay. ”

“Excellent value for money. The hotel has recently been refurbished and feels fresh and modern throughout. Our room was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were warm and welcoming. We stayed here while attending a concert at the Utilita Arena Sheffield, and the location was perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay again.”
