"The Cyrus Hotel is in a great area of downtown in walking distance to the capitol and restaurants including The Weather Room which is in the hotel. It is nicely decorated with comfortable bed. The only thing you should be aware of if you have a car is that you pay $14 per night for parking. The parking garage has hotel spaces from floor 8 and up and will have to walk across an alley to get back to the hotel. If you do park, be sure to keep one room key after you check out or you won’t be able to get into or out of the garage when you leave."

"The front desk clerk spends a ton of time apologizing. She was very helpful with things she should not have to deal with. The sheet had what looked like blood that didn't come out in the wash. It should have been incredibly easy for the housekeeper to see as it was right at the top of the bed next to where the pillows were. There was no soap by the sink. The pancake mix was gone, when we asked for more the guy took the container out and slowly drained one serving into the cup and didn't bring any more. The eggs and sausage was all gone. When we asked for some he went and made just enough for two people and this was at about 8:00 with an hour left to go. The air conditioning was great and the bed was very comfortable."

"The check-in process was tedious. I arrived (with a confirmed reservation) about 3:45 (check in starts at 3:00) and was eventually told my room wasn't ready and they would verify with housekeeping. OK, I get it, sometimes there are delays. However, another couple came in, with a reservation, and were immediately assigned to their room --same type, same number of people. Then another couple came in WITHOUT a reservation and were assigned to the same type of room as mine. After about 15 minutes, it was decided that I could be assigned to a different room than the one they had originally assigned to me. Very poor customer service. The room was comfortable, but the towels are poor quality and the toilet paper is like sandpaper. The breakfast room was clean and well attended, though the selections were poor. I often stay at Hampton Inns, but will think twice before staying at this one again."
