“The hotel was excellent. We were offered a room upgrade on our arrival to a deluxe room and the room was superb. Very clean and comfortable with both a bath and separate shower - huge bathroom. The bar area was cosy and welcoming. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Good selection of wines. We will definitely be returning. Just wish our stay had been longer.”

“Quaint hotel in beautiful village. Family run business giving a delightful caring welcome. Nothing is too mich trouble. There is a small car park which is free to use, and hotel is situated in quiet street and not difficult to find. Comfy bed and thoughtful facilities in rooms. Guests are provided with a fridge and microwave and complimentary breakfast of orange juice yoghurt cereal and toast which you make at your own convenience in your room. Shower worked well, there was ensuite toilet,……

“We only had a stop over, we stayed in the part that I guess was modern a few years ago, it could do with a refresh now and it's become dated. It needs a bit of money spent on it.”

“The staff were great and helpful, Breafast was very good, and our evening meal exelent bar was well staffed in the evening and well stocked , unfortunately the cleanliness of our room was not good , especially the shower, which had black mould on the tiles and shower door was in need of some maintenance, the toilet was not clean behind seat and in the hinges of seat and lid was not clean , and the sink has a large crack in it .”

“Enjoyable stay . The sink click clack plug didn’t work and twice it was promised to be attended too but unfortunately didn’t get repaired/replaced so we had to use tissue as a plug . Everything else was good .”

“Excellent food in a lovely village next to a main road however when you shut the windows the traffic noise was vastly reduced. The close room was great value.”

“Breakfast is the problem. We were told that Sunday there is no breakfast, which is not written anywhere on the website; so we had to have - and pay for - breakfast somewhere else. Then, when we had breakfast the other days, we were asked to order the evening before (not written on Expedia as well) and what we were given was barely enough. We all had to spend extra money to reach a very minimum bearable breakfast - as we are people who were in Peterborough to work, not holiday.”
