The gentleman who changed are room was very helpful as we requested to move to the other side of the hotel, away from the road (light sleepers) and they were happy to help. “This is a quirky hotel steeped in history which me and my husband loved. On arrival our room was not suitable for our needs, this could have been avioded if i had called head ofour stay. The receptionist and alastair massey were fantastic and offered fantastic alternative room within minutes and this was beyond my expectations as it had a four poster bed and very large. This made our stay so much better and we had a fantastic break. Thank you to all.”

“The room was lovely, the breakfast was delicous, and it was quite cheap as well as not being that far from chesterfield town centre. The staffs service was amazing as they were very interested in what our plans were. Will definetely come again and will be recommending to people.”

“Check in: at the bar. Wait for 5 minutes as the staff served at the bar at that time. Wifi: good. Room: spacious, clean. One grocery shop near by, 5 minutes walk. No self laundry service. Breakfast: not buffet except juoice, milk and cereal, ok, basic. ”
