“Would have been a 5 star review but I asked the first night if staff could kindly remind other residents to move away from the front steps of the building whilst smoking kate at night as it comes into the bedroom window. Second night I had to ask 3 different gentlemen to please move away as their smoke was keeping me awake and affecting my asthma. Two were very apologetic and moved but the 3rd I got abuse from and it was not nice😞.”

“Have to say the staff were good and very helpful and I have no problem with anyone working at the hotel. The atmosphere within the bar area was quite poor and the tv remote was broken so couldn’t watch sports. The main issue I had with the hotel was the music piped in through the obviously knackered speakers which as so distorted it was painful to listen too. We actually had to ask the breakfast staff to turn it down and they agreed it was terrible. Until this is resolved I can’t see myself……

“Excellent stay at this lovely hotel. The bedroom was very clean. Staff are very pleasant and made our stay very enjoyable. The meal we had was top notch and couldn't fault any of it. Breakfast the following morning was also very enjoyable, served piping hot and delicious. There is ample free parking on site too which is a great bonus with the hotel being on the high street. We would highly recommend the Red Lion and wouldn't hesitate to return!”
