“Clean and Convenient”

“Nice and quite town. Rooms are good as per the price. Not much dining option around since its a very small town. Overall a decent and safe place to stay.”

“The motel is situated right before the entrance of the Avenue of Giants in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. There is a bar that is right next to the motel that was playing music till late into the night. The room itself was a bit dusky and some of the furnishings need to be updated, but it was manageable for a one night stay.”

“We stopped here halfway thru a week long road trip after flying from the East Coast. At check-in, we were upgraded to a King room free of charge. It was lovely to be on the 2nd story with a view of the ocean. We were impressed with the attentive staff who had very warm, positive attitudes. Breakfast was very good and included many options. We were feeling rather road weary, so decided to stay a second night. Perfect place to rest for a down day that included a few hours of strolling thru the……

“Ocean Front with helpful staff and restaurant. Beautiful area.”

“No pool no breakfast. Deadbolt in room did not work. asked for clean sheets and an extra blanket didn't get them while we were out the hole day. Had to go back and ask again. Shower had poor water pressure. Wasn't worried about the pool since we were there for the beach. But both pool and breakfast were advertised win I booked the room”

“The room was roomy and welcoming. I always enjoy my stays at the Surf and Sound. Other than noisy neighbors with children who eventually settled down at 11 pm, the stay was relaxing.”

“Shower was half not full in our room. The hotel is at the side of the hwy 1 so you can hear loud motocycles or loud trucks. Pros :The beach is not to far and other Nice beaches are closed by to walk or take pictures with nice views and restaurants are near to the hotel .”

“Excellent location and beautiful property. We enjoyed the river access and hanging by the fire pit at the pub. The room accommodated our family nicely with three beds. A very nice stay.”

“We are not totally happy with the motel. 1. During check in they charge $20 each for additional person on top of the rate be paid. She discounted half of it which suppose to be $80 down to 40.00 ! Looks like this hidden charges 2. When we got into the room, it smelled bad like a typical old moldy house that never been cleaned and sanitized so they did ozolate? to get rid of the smell. 3. The towels are not sanitized and looks like a rug than bath towels ( see pictures) 4. The bathroom was……
