“The house is beautiful and well maintained. It is a fun opportunity to imagine life in one of these beautiful old homes from the 19th century. A wonderful breakfast was served Saturday and Sunday. Simon was great. Friendly and full of tips and ideas to help make the most of our time in Dubuque. We stayed in Florence’s room, which had great views of the city, and the bed in the turret with curved windows all around. We would highly recommend staying here.

“It was so much fun. Four sisters (three with spouses) stayed two nights for a family wedding in the area. Love the neighborhood. Terrific old houses with great architecture. Walking was great if hilly. ”
“As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. It was a pleasant step back in time with it's antique atmosphere and original structure. It was my 48th wedding anniversary and staying at a family home made it even more……

“Kate is a wonderful host! She had breakfast ready for us every day! She even accommodated my gluten-free girlfriend. This is a wonderful house in walking distance from anything downtown. It is also far enough off of.main st that it is quiet. We will definitely stay here again!”
“We were very pleased with the accommodations. Very comfortable and relaxing. Our room was beautiful and the bed was the most comfortable I have experienced.

“Chris and Resa run a wonderful B&B! The house itself is beautiful, and if you like seeing original architectural details of historic buildings, this is the place for you. Breakfast was delicious, and it was hard to pick what our favorite meal was. After a day of shopping on Main Street, it was nice to come back to the house for a charcuterie plate and cookies (both different every day!) and wine. My favorite touch was a homemade brownie waiting for us when we checked into our room - delicious!”
