"My wife, son and parents stayed for 1 night after attending Mount Rushmore. Our rooms were very nice and clean. The following morning we left for Rapid City. We realized we had left behind a toy that our son bought in Medora. Upon calling the hotel they discovered the toy and set it aside so my parents could pick it up the next day. We were so very grateful."
"We had a room with 2 beds and it was a very large room! Not crowded at all. Pillows were amazing. Bed was very comfortable. Loved the sink/large vanity area separate from the toilet/tub-shower. Clean. Breakfast was a "grab-n-go" bag. We loved that....came with a large water, choice of granola bar, large muffin or danish, peanut butter crackers or Goldfish crackers, fruit cup & orange juice! Plenty to keep you going until lunch. Staff were all super nice. If we ever needed anything we just asked the front desk. Steps away from lots of eateries/shopping. Would definitely stay here again. View of Black Hills is superb, rooms are furnished with excellent mattresses; reasonably priced meals in their cafe; very tasty complimentary breakfast buffet served in Gazebo with great menu options; gracious and friendly welcoming staff; 15 minutes from Mt Rushmore; Very Friendly guests week before Sturgis Rally!
'Little surprised' that guests are charged 18.5% on top of menu prices to pay salaries of wait staff. Then another tips is optional but encouraged.
But we will return to K Bar S on our next trip to Mt Rushmore and Keystone area. "

"This property was an excellent fit for our family and our trip! The size of the cabin was just right. It was also extremely clean and well organized. It was equipped with everything we needed, too! The location made it super accessible to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, but was also far enough off of the main highway to allow for peace and quiet. We enjoyed just sitting on the porch and listening to nature. The surrounding area is just beautiful! "

"This is by far the worst rental I've ever had. I had rented for 6 days and upon entering the property to a horrible smell, I knew it would not work. Mgnmt said "I was too sensitive" even though I explained that I am allergic to cats and this was definitely cats - my eyes swelled and strong headache. I agreed to let them bring air fresheners, nothing helped. The water has VERY strong sulfur smell (rotten eggs) - told "you get used to it." My husband and I checked out after 2 days and was told would receive a refund for 4 unused days. Despite repeated attempts to follow-up, no longer receiving response, and no refund. DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY unless you are expecting glamping. "

"Would highly recommend this sweet set of cabins. We loved our stay and all that we did. Communication. With the owner was amazing and we had zero issues. The only thing I would have to mention at all is that the window unit and fans provided made for ONE warm evening for this Texas girl who likes her air haha!! Once the temp moderated, the temp in the cabin was delightful! But just to note, could be warm inside on the hottest of days. This does not affect my rating at all!! Loved the stay."

"We loved staying here. It was very clean, spacious and had all that we needed. We loved the location. Seeing Mount Rushmore from the deck was amazing. We were right on the edge of town so it was nice to have access to restaurants but still feel separate. We were right in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go which was really nice. We definitely recommend this place!"
