Beautiful Cozy 3 Bedroom Cottage on the Lake

Beautiful Cozy 3 Bedroom Cottage on the Lake

8/10 Good
"Overall the property was good. There were things that were not noted in the original listing that may be helpful to travellers coming in. The water is not drinkable and you need to bring your own drinking water. The garbage and recycle removal is the responsibility of the renter, and you are charged if you do not bring the garbage to the garbage disposal site. This proved to be very inconvenient for us. There is plenty of towels, kitchen cookware and dishes, cutlery and other useful kitchen gadgets and tools. If you are planning on cooking you have everything you need. The lighting is not great in the bedroom lamp. There were not other lightbulbs in the rental unit. If you use a lamp, pack a couple bulbs. The hot tub was lovely. The property is lovely, great access to the water, the dock and firepit were both awesome."

CABIN overlooking pond + HIKING to waterfalls & lookouts (completely off-grid)

10/10 Excellent
"We spent 2 wonderful nights at 'Kabinka' and enjoyed our stay very much. It was a lovely place to relax, spend some family time, detox from screens and get back to nature. The owner stopped by to say hello and let us know about the nearby trails and sights and make sure we had everything we needed. Unfortunately, we weren't able to venture too far this time due to having a family member having some mobility issues, but that didn't stop us having a great time. That's something to consider if you're not too steady on your feet; the walk from the car to the cabin, cabin to outhouse and also down to the creek, albeit short, maybe a little challenging, but overall we managed okay. Besides that, the cabin and surrounding area is just delightful. Our dog was in total heaven and spent his time in the creek and surveying the wildlife from the front deck. My favourite spot was sitting, reading a book in the hammock on the front porch - a perfect way to spend an hour or two! We hope to be back next year and explore more of the local area, which really is stunning. So glad we found this place. Highly recommend it!"
