If you want an on the beach experience, this is the place! Could hear the ocean at night, and see ocean in day. Geat for kids and dogs too with lots of area for them. Good size room with fridge and microwave and coffee. Will definitely stay here again.

Staff was friendly. Lots of space to park. Close to beach. Facilities were bit old but good enough.

The staff was a little unwelcoming. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, so I am guessing the "B" Team was on duty. Upon arrival we learned the restaurant was not open on Sunday or Monday. One would not know this from their website. Dining nearby is somewhat of a challenge, but we found a place in Pacific Beach about a mile away that we walked to. The hotel restaurant was the main reason why we chose to stay there. I stayed in the older portion of the hotel. My room was clean, but there were large cracks in the walls and ceiling that were from the building settling. My sink bathroom sink did not drain, and I could not get the water temperature to stabilize while taking a shower. My friends stayed in the renovated portion of the hotel. There room was very nice, however outside in the back of their building there were structural poles holding up the decks on the floors above them that were severely compromised. Temporary braces had been installed; however they appeared to have been there for quite some time. The building seemed somewhat unsafe. We used the hot tub and pool facility across the street. They have a staffer on duty who will not allow you to bring anything into the facility. We had to leave our cooler and drinks at the door which was kind of a bummer. I would not recommend staying at this facility. It was very much a disappointment.

This was a very nice place to stay right on the beach. There were so many amenities!
