Eleanor Vacations from $570

I was told by the front desk clerk that I was put on a do not rent list when I got to Super 8 Dunbar. The clerk couldn’t tell me why, she could only tell me that the general manager made that decision. I had to scramble at 8pm on a Friday night to find another place to stay. After leaving the location and lowering my anger, I realized why the GM did what she did. Last year, I don’t recall the day, I stayed at the Super 8 in Dunbar and complained that I found a bed bug in my bef. I left one in napkins on the table and there were dogs barking in the building. I complained and wanted half the cost of the room returned. My calls were unanswered. That’s why she put me on that list. Trust me, I will never return to that Super 8. I will also inform any friend or acquaintance I know who’s visiting Charleston WV, to stay away from that Super 8.

The staff were lovely and the breakfast was great! The room was overall clean but there were lots of areas that needed attention, especially in the bathroom. The exhaust fan was completely covered in dust and lots of rust on the shower curtain rod, a moldy/mildew shower handle, things like that. The bed was also not very comfortable. In a pinch I would stay again, but otherwise would probably choose other accommodations.

Shower curtain was moldy and a used bar of soap was left in the tub. Faucets were loose in the shower. Check in process was stressful and unnecessary complicated with a kiosk that was not functioning.
