“It was dark when we arrived and the porch light wasn’t on so we couldn’t see to get in house. The house had a distant, unpleasant smell to it. The kitchen was not clean…particularly the cupboards. I had to wash a pot and silverware before using as they had food in them.”

“This was my first experience with VRBO and am very disappointed with my stay. Ironically the host attempted to blame me for my complaint by stating I have been the only guest who complained of the cigarette smoke smell. The person below me smoked and each time he would supposedly go outside to smoke, I could smell the smoke as if he was in the next room. Speaking of the next room, the spare (the room w/two beds) smelled like an ashtray. The host has five air fresheners in the home, which tells……
