"This hotel helped me turn what could’ve been a disaster of a vacation into a decent few days in Nanaimo and area. The Nanaimo Harbour is right across the street and Nanaimo Old City Quarter is a ten minute walk south. The building is older and there’s a busy highway on one side and I could tell when my neighbours were showering but the building was clean and the outside was tidy. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The water pressure beat the dirt off my skull and we never ran out of hot water. The complimentary breakfast is simple but efficient and the breakfast room is kept tidy and well stocked until closing. In the lobby, I took advantage of the ice water jug to fill water bottles for the day and in the evenings used the hot water from the carafe for tea. The front desk staff were kind enough to open the breakfast room so I could get decaf tea in the evenings. Overall, it was a great experience and I would stay here again."

"This was a very special stay for us. My wife and I were traveling with my Brother and his wife for a vacation. We only spent (1) night there due to budget constrains, but it was well worth it. My wife and sister-in-law really enjoyed “High Tea” the next day and my brother and I explored the area and had a great luck at an Irish Pub nearby. The location is great. Walking to restaurants, shops, Parliament Building (take a tour) and Whale Watching tours docks. We had a great time and I would highly recommended staying here, even for (1) overnight. "
