Overall, our stay at Simpson Bay Resort was decent. The room was clean and comfortable, and the grounds throughout the resort were also very clean and well maintained. The experience felt more like staying at an Airbnb or condo than a traditional resort. It was very laid-back and quiet, which can be nice if that’s what you’re looking for, but there wasn’t much entertainment or many activities going on. Most of the time, you’re really just enjoying the pools, relaxing, or leaving the resort to go out for dinner and explore the island. One area that could definitely use improvement is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, especially at the buffet. The service at the breakfast buffet just didn’t feel very warm or welcoming. That being said, we didn’t have any major issues or anything serious to complain about. The property was clean, the room was clean, and we had an okay stay. I would describe Simpson Bay Resort as a decent, very laid-back place to stay, especially if you plan on spending a lot of your vacation exploring St. Maarten rather than looking for an all-inclusive-style resort experience with lots of entertainment and activities.

The property was beautiful, clean and the staff was impeccable! They put a bottle of wine in my room on my birthday. The front desk was amazing and also the housekeepers.
