The Egyptian, Classical, and Ancient Near Eastern Art collection contains a huge range of ancient relics. Hop between the cultures of the Pacific Islands or delve into the museum’s extensive collection of Islamic objects and historical texts.

Trace a timeline of art in the United States, from colonial days to the contemporary age. The Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art showcases artistic dialogue from the feminist movement. Due to the collection’s immense size, many works are not on display at any one time. Delve into the museum’s Visible Storage, which shows a range of artworks and items in mobile storage displays. The Steinberg Family Sculpture Garden shows a series of works by American sculptors.

The Brooklyn Museum is located on the northeastern corner of Prospect Park, next to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It is open daily, except Mondays and Tuesdays. Visit on a Thursday or the first Saturday of the month for extended museum hours. The museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Pay the suggested contribution for museum admission. Special exhibitions have fixed admission prices, with senior and child discounts.
