"Excellent property with a beautiful beach. I loved seeing the friendly monkeys around the resort—they were such a fun touch! The only concern I had was a strange smell in my room that I couldn’t quite identify. I also wish I had been able to try the steakhouse, but it was fully booked every night during my stay. Other than that, I had a great time and it’s a wonderful resort. I’ll definitely be coming back!"

"We had an amazing stay here with our family of 5 (3 teenagers). The house was well stocked with everything we needed and very clean. Beautiful landscaping around the patio. Just steps away from an amazing little beach. The beach has rocks on the outside and we saw tons of fish snorkeling. The middle of the beach has no rocks and is great for playing in the waves. The office staff had great communication and helped us arrange our rental car and excursions. We are already planning our next trip!"

"We just returned from 8 nights at Villa Allamanda from June 4 - June 12, 2025. The house is as beautiful in person as the gorgeous pictures online. The view is spectacular, and we got up at sunrise every morning to watch for wildlife and listen to the birds and howler monkeys. The pool and hot tub were well-maintained and made us feel like we had our own private resort. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed so we could cook breakfast each morning and the occasional lunch or dinner. Playa Ocotal was the closest beach at only a 5 minute drive down the hill and very easy to get to from the house. The sand is mostly black with some tan mixed in, and the water was crystal clear and the perfect temperature. We snorkeled most days by the rocks on both sides of the beach and saw a huge variety of colorful fish, so bring your gear if you like to snorkel. There are foldable lawn chairs (not reclining), a cooler and a few sand toys at the house. There are 2 blue foam pool floats that you can lay on in the pool but no noodles or inflatable tubes, so you might consider bringing some or buying them nearby in Coco. There are plenty of every type of towel. Each bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, and a hair dryer. Showers are hot with great water pressure. A few of the beds are very firm. The road to the house is very steep, curvy, & narrow, so small 4WD SUV is best to rent. Lissa with Zindis was wonderful and so helpful. Ready to return! Pura Vida! "
