“The cabin was great! The location on the river was amazing. The cabin was clean upon arrival. It is a 25 minute drive into Durango, but it’s a beautiful drive. Would stay here again. ”

“We had a lot of fun, caught a bunch of fish and released them, it was very comfortable and a excellent location, right on the water,We would definitely stay there again, it rained every day 2 or 3 times and at night it would rain, sure was good sleeping weather, every one walking by with there dogs were nice friendly, and stopped and talked I talked to someone that was cleaning the cabin and she was very nice I would recommend staying there. ”

“Our stay in this cabin at James Ranch was fantastic! The cabin was perfect for my wife and I, and everything was just as described in the listing. Julie was a perfect host, and the check in/out process was the easiest ever. We will definitely be staying here for any future trips to the Durango area!!”

“Very nice propery between Durango and Purgatory. Well furnished with beautiful views and nice amenities including the hot tub. Easy access to the road. There are stairs to access the home, but that was not an issue for us. Overall, very pleased with this choice. We will definitely stay again.”

“My husband, myself and our chihuahua (Maggie) spent 6 glorious nights at the cabin. We were fortunate enough to extend our stay when our other plans fell through. Shannon was so peaceful and gracious to make our stay so fabulous.If we come back to the area we will definitely be looking into this home away from home.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this cozy Durango cabin! One of the highlights was watching wildlife from the deck — we were lucky enough to see two moose walk right through the creek below and spotted plenty of yellow-bellied marmots throughout our visit. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and on cooler days we enjoyed building fires in the fireplace. It was the perfect blend of comfort and wilderness. We definitely recommend this spot and would love to come back!”

“We really enjoyed this property. The home was spacious allowing plenty of room for all ten of us. The game room was a great gathering space. Dining area was large enough for all of us to eat and play games together. Easy drive in to both Bayfield and Durango. And very close to Vallecito Lake. Would definitely recommend this property. ”

“This cabin was everything we hoped it would be. The river is a few yards from the house, and we got up every morning and sat by the river and had our coffee. The few suggestions I have is to take some extra towels, for bathing, kitchen towels and hand towels. Also, there is no dining table. Instead, there are TV trays to eat on. There is also a picnic table outside on the wrap around porch. The instructions on the VRBO website say to not strip the beds when you leave, but the instructions on the...

“This is a nice location to stay in the place was extremely clean except for the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the TV didn't work but I don't think it's a place where you care if the TV works or not. Overall it was a pretty good experience except for their heater air conditioner was extremely loud and kept us up all night”

“The cabin was perfect. Everything you could need. Comfortable beds and a nice shower. Beautiful fenced yard with a grass yard behind the cabin over looking the lake. Awesome fishing from the back of the cabin. Next visit we will be staying longer.”

“An amazing home at the end of the street which offered a wonderful view of the river. It had the feel of being all alone in paradise. The layout of the home was great, and the kitchen was well equipped. The home was clean, my only complaint was it had several spider webs by TV and fireplace and I am terrified of spiders.”
