Shallotte Vacations from $381

Very noisy crowd screaming and yelling in the hallways after midnight, called hotel receptionists claimed they were gonna send security but it didn’t help at all. I don’t recommend this place unless you’re looking for a younger crowd and noise.

Great location. Clean and luxurious

Jack, the young man who did the valet parking for me, was awesome. I give him 5 stars.

Resort has some positives but too many drawbacks. Front desk was friendly, and there are a lot of places you can walk, it was peaceful during the day. The pool area was under construction and was dead. Only saw a couple of people and no ambience. The gym closed early so I didn't get to enjoy it. Looked ok. I stayed in a cottage, it was nice and clean, but disappointing that there wasn't coffee or tea. There's a coffee maker but you have to bring coffee. Not convenient when you're traveling and only staying a couple of days. You get small packets of laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. In the bathroom, you get soap bars and small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. All that was fine. You can hear music from the nearby event space and restaurants so it was noisy until about midnight. I was on top of a garage in the cottage so noise was made when that garage door was opened and closed at night. I was overall fairly pleased with my stay by morning of checkout. Not great but good. But at 10:30 AM, checkout being 11, there was a loud knock on the door proceeded by someone pulling on the handle. It spooked me and because they pulled at the handle, I thought it was guest getting the unit wrong. But there was another loud knock and another pull on handle. I walked downstairs and saw a maintenance man through the glass who yelled 'just checking'. It really bothered me that he pulled handle and was about to walk into the unit while I was in it, before my checkout time.
