“Such a pleasant location. Quietly tucked away with a relaxing view across the pasture of horses. We loved spending time sitting in the screened-in porch every morning as we drank our morning cup of coffee. Due to the inclement weather, the porch also provided us the opportunity to enjoy the scenery while staying nice & dry! The kitchen was a little small, but was well stocked. The queen bed had a memory foam mattress that was too soft for our liking, but most likely would have been comfortable...

“This served as a perfect base of operations for visiting the Shut Ins and seeing Ironton’s Mountain Music Festival. Being on the backside of Shepard Mountain it’s super quiet and separated from the world… but town is only a few minutes away around on the other side of the base of the mountain. It had everything you would want in an experience if you were camping, like a fire pit, endless stars, and all the quiet of being remote in the forest alone…. “The host could not BE any nicer or easy to work with. He let us stay late for the eclipse with no fuss. And mailed back a CPAP machine I accidentally left there. The cabin was exactly the right size for a getaway weekend to view the eclipse. Everything was clean, it is easy to find, bit feels remote. We want to explore the property next time we stay - cannot wait to find the creek! We think this could be our base when we float the Jack’s Fork. Excellent all around!”

“The cabin had everything we needed. It was perfect for our dogs ! And so close to the cute town of Eminence. The lil shops are nice and the Dairy shack was delicious also another restaurant we went to for breakfast was good .”

“We had a lovely time at the cabin! We stayed for the total eclipse and enjoyed a quiet private viewing in the woods! Our two little dogs were very happy at the property. The road leading down is a little bit rough, but that is the last 3 mile leg of the journey. You can hike up a nearby hill for cell reception if you need to connect, but the best part of this cabin was unplugging and relaxing. The short walk down the road leads to the large gravel riverbank. Fun for fossil hunting, skipping...

“My family group of five adults enjoyed our two nights here. The view and access to the Current was amazing. There are trees and vegetation between the house and river that allow for so many wonderful opportunities for bird watching right from the back screened in porch. We saw a bald eagle both mornings hunting just across the river.
