“If there were a 10 star rating, this place and their owners deserve it. The attention to detail, and the respect and love of nature - as well, as the kindness and attentiveness of the owners are the best I’ve experienced in a Vrbo rental. We will definitely be coming back. If you’ve never visited the “Hill Country” of TX, this is a great base to explore, get advice/suggestions of restaurants/attractions…it would have been an awesome trip had we not left the cabin! Deer, birds, every morning……

“This place was just what we were looking for for a family trip. We fished, paddleboarding was a challenge with all the boats and jet skis but I love the challenge. Our teen boys had a great time. Thank”

“This was a quick stay off the beaten path. We wanted a place that was calm and quiet before continuing our travels home - this was perfect. The dogs enjoyed the outdoors for a bit and the inside was a luxurious camping experience. Would love to stay again with other family members in the nearby yurts when the weather is cooler. ”

“Cozy Cabin sums it up. Easy check in. Small; but, neat and clean. A handful of nice spices for the barbecue if needed. Swimming in the river is a little tricky since there is a "wall" directly in front of the property. About 100 yards down, is the boat ramp where you can enter easier. I didn't use the pool; but, checked it out. It looked nice, with a couple of cabanas that would give you your own space. Has a communal washer / dryer attached to the back side of it. Not sure how many properties……

“Fell in love with the house as soon as we walked in. Loved how close it was to the small all surrounding towns. Drove down the street to a hidden gem called Gruene and immediately fell in love with the lively vintage town. Walked up and down its streets and had the best time. We also liked how close it was to the Guadalupe and Comal river ”

“It was great for our yearly girls trip. The location on the river is perfect. There is shade from the trees hanging over the river, so you don’t have to pack the extra canopy. ”

“Property is on the river and has many modern amenities. 3-4 great gathering areas in great room, kitchen, and outside. Hot tub is in like new condition and well maintained. While the house is older, the remodel and updating have been very well done so it feels and looks like the description. Water is low because of the dam work up river, but will be even more enjoyable once that work is complete and the river is flowing normal. Definitely recommend and we would definitely consider returning for……

“We went for my birthday weekend and had a blast. Cabins were just perfect for the 10 of us. We swam in the swimming hole on the property most of the time. The water was so refreshing. Plenty of space to hang out at both cabins. Would definitely book again!!”

“We loved this beautiful property. The owners are very accommodating and ensure you a great experience on your river vacation. They have deer feeders and we got to see buck/deer daily. There’s also an awesome river access which is the best part!”

“Spent the weekend here with the family and had a great time! The cottage is clean, cozy, and right on Lake Dunlap. It’s peaceful but still close to New Braunfels and Gruene.We grilled burgers by the water, went swimming, and did some fishing right off the property. The kitchen’s well-stocked, the beds are comfy, and the outdoor space is perfect for relaxing.Great spot for a low-key family getaway—would definitely come back!”
