How much is carry-on for JetSMART?
When you fly JetSMART, only a small personal item is included with the base fare:
  • One personal item weighing up to 22 lbs (10 kg)
  • Carry-on bag is not included and must be purchased separately
Carry-on baggage must meet size and weight limits to be accepted in the cabin.
What size carry-on is allowed on JetSMART?
With your JetSMART booking, size limits for cabin baggage are as follows:
  • Personal item: Up to 17 x 13 x 9 inches (45 x 35 x 25 cm)
  • Carry-on bag: Maximum size of 22 x 18 x 10 inches (55 x 45 x 25 cm)
All items must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat. Oversized bags may need to be checked and could incur additional fees.
How much are checked bags on JetSMART?
Checked baggage allowances depend on the type of JetSMART booking you make:
  • No checked baggage included for Starter Fare
  • Checked bags can be purchased in weight tiers, such as 33 lbs (15 kg) or 55 lbs (25 kg)
  • Bundles or Premium Upgrades may include checked baggage, depending on the fare selection
Extra baggage and overweight items incur additional fees, with lower prices available when purchased in advance.
Do you have to pay for seats on JetSMART?
Yes, with your JetSMART reservation, all seat selections—including standard seats—require a fee. Passengers may also choose front-row or extra legroom seats for an additional charge. If no seat is selected, one will be assigned randomly during check-in.
How far in advance can you check in with JetSMART?
For your JetSMART flight, online check-in opens 72 hours before departure and closes 70 minutes before takeoff. Airport check-in is available but may include an extra fee depending on your fare type. Passengers are encouraged to check in online to save time and avoid additional charges.
