“The entire experience was excellent. A very comfy, warm and spacious room. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was superb. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I'm in the area.”

“I booked on behalf of one of our engineers, who found the cabin to be very dirty with little to no hot water, and infestation of insects and no WIFI as mentioned in the accommodation list. The front door also would not close or lock due to the door being so badly warped, and I had to book alternative accommodation as it was not suitable. I contacted the booking agent to complain and provided photos, and they were unable to get hold of the host. When they did eventually get hold of them, they……

“Lovely Hotel and nice food. Sadly didn't manage to sit out in the beer garden as so many wasps but no fault of the Hotel. Room was very nice, just the creaky floor boards but hey, that's just character. ”

“Extremely pleasant and accommodating staff. Room was clean and warm as was the en-suite. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of various tea and coffee sachets available in addition to milks and sweeteners etc. Breakfast was freshly cooked to liking. Although I had no problem parking, the car park is small with limited street parking opposite, which potentially could be an issue during busy periods. Overall, staying at The Talbot was an excellent experience. ”

“No one in shop or office to report issues to, I txt the owner on Friday morning & they didn’t even open it until after we left on Saturday morning. No bathroom lights working, no outside light by hot tub and no covering over it to protect from weather/trees, so it was not used. No heating for night time so the hut was really cold, it was a good job I took extra bedding. ”
