Rarely can I say that everything about a hotel booking was perfect - the whole experience exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful stay. We were visiting the Fringe as part of our 21st anniversary, I'd mentioned it a while back when I booked. I also asked if we could have a room with a view and be quiet if possible. Sometimes you mention these things and they all get ignored! Well not at the Inn on the Mile - it's a beautiful boutique run hotel, with a bar and really great friendly staff. A big thank you and shout out to the general manager, Rosie, who arranged the room, which was perfect - views of the royal mile in the heart of the Fringe and a beautiful room which was quiet too. In the room when we arrived was a welcome card from Rosie and complimentary bottle of prosecco and basket of Scottish snacks/drink goodies! We felt really special and such a nice way to celebrate our 21st anniversary. The room itself was clean, modern, and beautiful decor with a super smart bathroom. All the staff during our stay were really friendly, helpful and breakfast was yummy and lots of it. We loved the crushed avacodo with tomatoes/corriander with poached egg. We also had two complimentary free drinks for the bar - so we had a cocktail and prosecco (yes more!) actually on our last day sitting in the outside area before we headed off to the airport. Our luggage was stored just inside the door so it made it really easy for us to head off that day. Thank you so much :-)

Room is very spacious, our room is located at attic at a building cross a busy road from where hotel reception is , has no lift , lucky we don’t have large luggage . Good breakfast but very limited choice . There was tooth brush or sewing kits available. Not quite sure how 5 stars rated. Only a basic B&B

2 bedroom apartment was very spacious with a kitchen and second bathroom which was nice to have! There was also a washer/dryer in-unit. Everything was very modern, updated and seemed new. Very nice place to stay with convenient location. Highly recommend!

Nous avons séjourné dans l’appartement 32 et il faisait tellement chaud à l’intérieur (31 degrés Celsius!) même avec les ventilateurs et fenêtres ouvertes. Je savais qu’il n’y avait pas d’air climatisée mais de là à cette chaleur quand dehors c’était 21-23…ce n’était pas plaisant du tout pour dormir. Sinon belle situation géographique..

Everything was fantastic I would give 4.5 Stars! Only one issue, the brunette bar tender gave us a tongue lashing about having our own wine up stairs in the lounge and she could charge us a corkage fee, but she didn’t know the manager made an exception to accommodate us because it was raining on the deck and my hubby is in a power wheelchair. The half star was lost by her being the only one not in the know and embarrassing us, however the half star was regained by all the other employees who went out of their way to make our stay amazing. They even built my husband a ramp to access the deck so I can confidently say The Fingal is accessible for all the next guests who want to enjoy the deck and the beautiful views. Thank you Callum, Simona, and the Fingal for such an unforgettable stay! I highly recommend!!

Amazing experience!

Loved the location! Amazing and helpful staff! There are stairs to some rooms so let the staff know if that’s a problem. You’ll be able to walk right outside to great shops and restaurants. Will be staying here again!
