We loved staying at Camp DeForest. The attention to detail was really amazing and we loved the whole camp theme. You can tell that so much thought and consideration was put into the whole experience. The food was really good, staff was friendly and accommodating and our room was well appointed. The bed was a bit firm for me, but I understand everyone has their own preferences. Overall a great stay in a beautiful woodsy location.

The hotel is located inside the University of Maine campus, which is quiet, safe, and has convenient parking. The rooms seem to be converted from student dormitories, so the layout is different from typical hotels. The bathroom in my room was exceptionally large, almost at a luxury mansion level, and the bed was also big. The room was clean with high ceilings, but there was no desk available for use, which was somewhat inconvenient.

A beautiful property run by a lovely couple. The location is easy to find, close to both Camden and Lincolnville but tucked away enough to give a sense of privacy and solitude. Beautiful, bright rooms, multiple common areas to relax in, with cooked to order breakfast each morning. A lovely wraparound porch with views of the ocean. Highly recommended.
