We loved staying here

We are so glad we chose Wailea Grand Champions. We loved the privacy of staying in the condo and having a fully equipped kitchen was wonderful. The condo and grounds were so beautiful and quiet and everything was really clean. Our only complaint is that the king size bed was pretty hard. But, even so, we would definitely stay here again.

condo was dated. furniture was white and looked dirty.nice floor plan.was 1/2 mile from beach.not what i expected for wailea area.

all beaches are public. don’t worry about walking threw any hotel to get to beach.every resort is extremely friendly .

Grand Champions Wailea

The appartment we stayed was very nice: stylish and cosy. We were suprised by the set of appliances - it was exactly what we needed! The personal of hotel is almost invisible in a good meaning. Pools small but clean, BBQ stove clean and easy to use. We wish all condo’s would be as Grand Champions...

Only one pool key is given to a family, probably should ask for another. Considering BBQ stove is locked with pool, getting to and out for 3-4 people is getting cumbersome.

Absolutely will go back

The condo was very comfortable and clean. The master bedroom was very big and comfortable, however, the other rooms were rather small. For families with children, these may be perfect. Having the kitchen made it so convenient to buy groceries and have food for snacks and breakfast. The staff, especially the security were very friendly. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. I would highly recommend it, especially to families. Wailea is beautiful, however, sometimes far from Lahaina and other locations.

Very nice!

The Condo unit was very well kept and updated with the exception of the washer and dryer which was a little outdated. Otherwise, the beddings are clean and everything was in good working condition. We will definitely stay here again.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Go to Kihei and shop at Foodland which is the cheapest and best market to shop at when you stay at this Condo project. This is where all the locals goto instead of Safeway.

Quiet and relaxful

This condo met our expectations. We had a view of the ocean. The site was in a quiet setting on the golf course. We had a nice view of the ocean.

Good location, pleasant amenities and grounds (all well groomed). Enjoyed the common area for BBQ’s and pool, which could use some low lighting for night time socializing/eating. Needed to bring candles to eat our BBQ. All in all, a very good experience.

More accommodating than a hotel for families!

second time there, will go back again

The only change we will make will be to request an upstairs unit, eeven though we had asked for and had a "partial ocean view" you could not see it from the lanai unless you were standing up. The room was just as nice as the prior one we had rented 2 yrs ago, beautiful, clean, amenities, washer & dryer, beach chairs & towels, walking distance to beach & restaurants as well as Shopping center. We love this place!

we liked it because we are away from all the "other" tourists but close enough to drive into Lahaina or Kaanapali whenever we wanted. Local beaches were not packed. and a very nice walking or running trail along the coast..

Highly recommend this hotel/condo! I brought the family with 2 toddlers and would stay here again. Travelled here in early June and in newer unit and loved it! From the washer/dryer in unit to all the appliances up to date not to mention the space for the kids; I could go on! Better stop or Destination resorts won’t be Maui’s best kept secret.

Walmart, Walmart, Walmart!!!

Not as clean as my first stay

This was our second stay at Grand Champions. This visit we found a small piece of broken glass in the dining area, and then the next day another small piece of glass in the kitchen area. The lanai was nice but had obviously not been hosed off/cleaned in quite some time, it was dusty, the plexiglass panels on the railings were quite dirty and the patio furniture was showing it’s age. We ran out of both bath soap and shampoo and these items were not replentished during our stay. The air conditioners were very loud. Overall the accomodations and furnishings were great, but unlike our first visit, it did not appear the proper cleaning was taking place. I would still recommend Grand Champions, but with slight resrevations.

Can’t wait to go back

Our stay was very satisfying. Wailea Grand Champions have really beautiful villas, very nice staff! We had a beautiful view from our balcony to the golf course, very peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It was a trully wonderful place to spend our vacation time. We received much higher value for our money then we ever anticipated. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Decent Condo Option in Wailea

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Champions earlier this month and had an nice stay. The condo was spacious and clean, which is key to our comfort. There were 2 bathrooms and a nice kitchen but the place was decorated with the tackiest artwork (black velvet paintings are still considered art?) and the linens were a bit worn. I wouldn’t say it was a memorable spot but considering hotel/condo prices in Maui, it was a good option - great for families or budget conscious individuals. Anyway, when we travel we spend so little time in our hotel rooms (I’d prefer to be at the gorgeous beaches or doing activities) that this suited our needs just fine.

Would definitely return. Excellent location and very comfortable.

This was so much more comfortable than staying at a hotel. The condo was in a great location on the golf course but within walking distance of the beaches. It was well cared for, the kitchen was well equipped with updated appliances. Check-in was easy but the check-in location was off the property. This was a little confusing but not a problem.

Great Place Great Price

If you are planning a stay in Maui, I highly recommend Grand Champion Villas. Wailea is in my mind, the "nice" part of the island. The best snorkeling is on the south side of the island, it is also the part of the island that gets the best weather (or so I’m told). When my husband and I got married in Wailea 5 years ago, we came on a "scouting" trip and checked out a dozen or so potential places for our guests to stay. The Grand Champion Villas was definitely at the top of our list. The condos here are just, in one word *nice.* They also have fabulous grounds as it is right next to a golf course. We are staying here for the second time. During our stay, the shower curtain rod came down and maintenance was at our place to fix it within 5 minutes. The service here is incredibly good. I have recommended this place to a lot of my friends. Each of them have in turn recommended the property to their friends. I think the positive word of mouth is due to the fact that this place offers solid value for the price. You can certainly find other places in Maui (especially Kihei next door) that will be cheaper than the Grand Champions. But I’m sure those places won’t be nearly as nice. This is the place we love to stay at whenever we visit Maui.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Wailea Grand Champions had everything we could have wanted for our stay, including beach chairs and an umbrella. The condo was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It had a good central location, close to beaches, restaurants and shops. This was a great value.

Very nice place to stay - quiet,clean,well stocked

Condominium - loved the king-sized bed - it was soo comfy. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. Very quiet area.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Condo was great. Location was good. Unfortunately there was construction going on next door (left side). We heard electric saws going all day long. Not very quiet. Condo was very nice and well equipped. Had a nice time.

Extremely pleased

I was very impressed with the villa that I stayed at. Very big 1 bedroom 2 bath, kitchen, living room, porch over looking golf course and partial view of the pacific (didnt request ocean view, just got lucky I guess) and free highspeed internet. Front office staff very nice. I will definetly stay at this villa when I return!!!

Excellent facility!

For our 3rd trip to Maui, this was the best place we have stayed! The condo was awesome, a luxury suite with an ocean view on the golf course. It was equipped with all the comforts of home, and it was spotless. Upon arrival, the clerk was gracious and helpful. The pool, jacuzzi and outdoor grill was are welcomed and used. Only about a mile from the best beach on Maui! The entire trip, all set up by Expedia, was a fun and enjoyable experience [and the best prices too!], all for thousands less than our last trip to Maui in a 5 star resort. I tell all my friends you cannot go wrong with Expedia, thanks!

Great hospitality and can’t wait to go back

We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo. It was clean, quite and close to the swimming pool. We had a great view of the Wailea Blue golf course and the beautiful pacific ocean. Although there are no restaurants on site, there is a wide selection of restaurants and shopping just down the road. You need to drive to get to the beach, but they have a great concierge desk that can accomidate anything you need.

Wailea area in general is for the wealthy. If staying at a condo you can do some of your cooking and save money. For families do all you food shopping in Kahalui, and not Wailea.

Cost effective choice is Wailea

While the condo/hotel choice wasn’t the most top-of-the-line or immaculate, it fit very well for being able to stay at a great location in Wailea on a budget. We went there as part of a big group for a long weekend wedding, and most chose to stay at the GC. There was a lot of variation in the quality and upgrades in each unit. Having a full kitchen and the BBQ at the pool were nice, and close to shopping, the beaches, and Kihei too.

The condo was great, clean and had easy access to beaches. Would definetly recommend Grand Champions and plan to stay there on our next trip to Maui.
