“Arrived at 9.00 Fri evening t He couldn't find any record of my booking, even after showing booking confirmation and reference. The place had a musty smell and a unclean feel to it. It looks as if there has been no attempts of upkeep at the property for years. I did not stay and found somewhere else to stay”

“Fantastic location overlooking the hilltop sea views. Last minute overnight booking, with only the rear looking room available (would like to try the sea view rooms next time). Room was immaculately clean with a fan, iron (and board), hairdryer, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle (also tea, coffee and milk, that you can have refilled if you need more). Staff were absolutely fantastic from the time we checked in to when we left. Bar and food area downstairs (also plenty of outdoor seating). I……

“A fantastic, spacious hotel. I couldn't believe the size of my room! The en suite was immaculate and the mini fridge with water and milk provided was a lovely touch. The manager, Louise, is lovely to deal with and makes the place feel like a home from home. I am booking for a second time this month. The car park on site is a huge bonus - no driving up and down the street looking for a space. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Torquay.”

“I was so pleased I chose this hotel for overnight stay, it got everything I needed and I was in so love with room, absolutely gorgeous. Feel like I was at home, so comfy. Staff were super helpful and lovely. Location was so perfect, easy to travel to the town via foot and the Torquay harbours.”

“Et helt greit hotell, som ligger sentralt til, og nære busstopp. Frokosten var god, om enn litt sen (8.30). Dusjen tok veldig lang tid for å bli varm, og trykket var veldig dårlig.”

“Didn't receive the property information coming up to the booking date, I contacted the company and was told there was some IT issue and apologised and forwarded me the information. When we first arrived after a 5 hour drive at half 6 on a Saturday evening, the access code for the key lock box we recieved via the property app was incorrect. Family of 4 had to hike to get some food in a local restaurant and wait for a call from the property management team. In the meantime I found a different……

“Very clean, friendly and helpful host, great breakfast”

“We stayed in this delightful cottage for three night. The whole house was kitted out with everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen though we are out mostly. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of space to store our clothes with plenty of hangers. The shower was easy to use and there was plenty of hot water. Close to all amenities and transport links - buses, trains and tour boats.”

“Family of four — we had such a great stay at this property! Everything felt really well looked after and maintained. The hot tub was a real highlight for us, especially after busy days out. The location couldn’t have been better — right in the city centre with lovely views over the harbour, and close to so many attractions. It made getting around so easy. Honestly, it had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable break. We’d happily stay again!”

“It is difficult to give a review when the Hotel booked for you is closed and seems to have been closed for months! I was forced to find alternative accommodation at short notice incurring unwelcome extra expense and a great deal of stress. No reply to a message to Hotels.com at all. I could not complain or review until now as I was away from home for 7 days. Do not rely on Hotels.com.”

“What’s not to like.. and the hosts couldn’t have been more cheery ”

“Awful stay, false advertisements biggest thing was they said there was a lift when there was not. ”
