“From the moment we arrived the staff were really attentive and friendly. We felt very welcome and amongst friends. The room was clean and comfortable with a fabulous view of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was cooked to order and they brought exactly what was ordered too. A good selection to choose from. We did eat in the restaurant the first evening and the food, wine and service was excellent. We spoke with some of the guests who were regular visitors and we could see why. A……

“Great location and nice pub. Parking on site is very limited but there is a large public car park very close. Staff were fine. One or two smiled and were friendly but the rest seemed quite miserable although they did the job effectively. Cleaning staff in the accommodation were lovely. Food was functional but after the first night didn’t bother eating there again. Downside was our room. It had a lovely view but was in the rafters and getting in and out of bed was treacherous as you’d either bang……

“Exceptional quality for the price point - I'd expect to pay a lot more for the quality of the accommodation and the outstanding service from the staff. They were attentive, helpful and very friendly and made me feel welcome. Mack (I assume he was the duty manager) went above and beyond and couldn't have been more helpful. What a wonderful place to stay - would highly recommend it. ”

“The pictures on the site do not represent the reality of this hotel. It’s currently very run down and in need of lots of work. We stayed for 3 nights, we only had 3 towels and although we asked for more twice, were not given any and they weren’t changed during our stay. The bathroom looked new but unfinished. There was nowhere to put shampoo etc. in the shower, the floor was slippy (I bought a rubber mat for them) the toilet flush was dodgy and neither the fan or light above the mirror worked.……
