"We had a wonderful 14 day stay in a 1-bedroom apartment on the top floor. The area around the Mansion is beautiful, walkable nature parks and fields. It is very quiet and secluded in a safe, clean area close to shopping and eateries. The restaurant at the mansion - Becketts was such a bonus to our stay. The rooms don’t have A/C and get really warm, I can’t imagine what it would be like in the summer time. 3. Spent an hour in the bar and enjoyed that, drinks were reasonable price and it seemed to be quite full. Had to leave at 06:00 to catch ferry so didn’t eat breakfast. "This is a traditional "old fashioned" English hotel but has a lot of charm. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We booked a superior room with view of the Solent and it was well worth the extra money. Lovely, comfortable room and the view was great. It was fun watching the hovercraft coming in and out. Breakfast was good (although the coffee was pretty awful). We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay."

"The hotel staff are really nice very helpful my room was on the 3rd floor was like a maze to find it the room it self was clean and basic with tea/coffee. Room was a great size bathroom very small ( nothing the hotel can do about that ) the double bed was really nice good size nice warm bedding with great pillows. Black out curtains would be nice as the ones let in loads of light. Nothing bad, breakfast was good as well definitely worth the money before leaving. All in all very good I’ll be using again Hotel is a little dated yet for the price your paying to stay what more can you ask for "
