"Very interesting property with serious number of mainly paperbacks lining the walls. Lovely dining room with subdued lighting and many bookcases again. Had a great meal, good local wine. It is just near the gate through the walls into Obidos, thus is ideally situated for an evening stroll around the walls and along the main street. Absolutely lovely town, Well worth a visit."

"Hello, this is the first time I came with my son to this hotel, is really nice if you are looking for some peaceful days. Hotel is general is okay, the decoration is very simple, we like our room. If you don't drive like me it can be hard at some point because you will have to stay around the hotel, or order a taxi but it can be expensive. I do recommend to visit 2 beaches they are very close, few minutes walking. Also try the inside pool, my son love it! Lovely breakfast 😋 Well it worth a try definitely."

"Great place to stay INSIDE the castle walls. Easy walk to everything worth seeing or doing plus food & drinks. Hotel staff was pleasant, professional & VERY helpful—made dinner resv for us at Nova Casa de Ramiro, a place that’s hard to get! They also found washcloths for us when asked (not normally in European baths). We stayed in the “Queen Isabel” suite—a nice treat up high & private. *ONE NOTE—plan ahead on your luggage. It’s a long tricky walk from the mandatory outside parking areas! But again, WELL WORTH IT!! Be sure to walk the all castle walls, try the sour cherry liquor with chocolate cups! THANKS TO STAFF❣️"

"How often can you say you stayed in a castle? As mentioned before, there are a lot of stairs, but it’s worth it to have the experience! Our room was across the hall from an outdoor balcony, which overlooked the area. My husband took a walk around the castle wall in the morning, which he enjoyed. Breakfast was lovely. Overall a nice stay in a beautiful town."
