Found the property based upon a relatively last minute (2 weeks out) plan to go to a nearby college for a reunion weekend. Booked through a 3rd party site. As others have noted, this is what most likely resulted in a subpar room (low floor, near the elevator, overlooking the a/c units, very noisy) Although the hotel is supposed to have been recently renovated, our room did not appear to be. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, for example. Staff is young and unprofessional. Person outside could not tell us where to park our car (lots were full; wound up parking on the street. Neighborhood is a bit dicey). Other guests checking out before us complained about noise levels; staff was dismissive. Given the short notice, we did not have many choices. However, if one has a more extended timeframe, there are certainly many options to consider. This is not on my return to list.
