“The staff were very welcoming and ready to assist. Each room was unique and beautifully furnished. These were cleaned to a very high standard. The food for breakfast was excellent as was the other food available. Nice to have thick pancakes and different options. Also good to see recycling in using reusable glass bottles which were filled every day and could be filled as often as required. Plenty of places close by to eat. Would have been good to have a tv in the room as we struck a very wet……

“Ames is a quiet place, you sure can have a relaxation trip here. There are not much shops around, if you know how to ride a motorbike is much more convenient to travel around. The food in the hotel is good, you can join the gym at Griya which is free of charge! But you need to solve the transportation since the shuttle bus is not always available. The staff are helpful and friendly. We do enjoy the trip very much.”

“Le lit est très bien, mais la salle de bain ouverte permet l'entrée de beaucoup d'insectes : arraignées, gecko, moustiques... Nous avons été reveillés par les coqs, les prières en dehors de tout cela. Le fait de ne pas pouvoir fumer sur le balcon et de devoir sortir de l'hotel n'est pas pratique pour les fumeurs réguliers.”

“What a beautiful little boutique hotel. The staff was unbelievably accommodating and friendly, even though they didn’t know very much English, we were able to communicate quite well. My only issue was there was a smell coming out of drain in the shower. But I don’t think that had anything to do with the hotels cleanliness just the sewer system in the area. I learned that everyone in this area knows everyone! So if you need anything, just ask them and they will find a way to make it happen! I……

“The hotel is lovely: fresh, well designed, and a great pool. The food is very good. But the very best part was diving. Bastien, the dive master at the Emocean, is genuinely superb. Not only does he follow all the protocols of good, responsible diving, he is patient, charming and an exceptional instructor. Thanks to Bastien, my diving has leveled way up. I even did my first cave dive with him. I initially thought that for next year's trip to Amed I would stay in town (closer to the shops), but……

“Not clean and so structurally unkept I’m pretty sure I had every bug in Amed in my room. No hot water, toilet didn’t flush, and I had to ask for the room to be cleaned, which they interpreted as just make the bed. Staff was very rude. Decent breakfast and nice looking property, but if you want to be comfortable I’d go elsewhere. ”
