"What an absolutely fabulous inn! Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful, the animals are well cared for, beautiful grounds, the food is incredible!! Comfortable beds, extremely clean... I could go on and on. Probably the nicest and best value out of any place I've stayed in recent years. We will 100% return to stay and also plan to dine at the restaurant more often. And we will be telling friends and family. Well done, to the owners and all the staff!!!"

HISTORIC, RENOVATED BARN w/ Mt. SUNAPEE VIEW, SLEEPS 22+, Minutes to Lake / Mt.

10/10 Excellent
"House was beyond beautiful, fit our family of 24 perfectly. We were nervous about having a caretaker on the property seeing as we have a lot of loud children but she was wonderful, and helpful. Lake sunapee state beach is a very easy drive and beautiful lake to go to, only thing that was misleading was the 11 minute walk to the beach- unless we missed it, was not accurate. Overall the house and yard was amazing- caretaker super helpful and nice would 110% return. Only caution if you had a large party would be bring Tupperware and plastic utensils & cups."

Happy Place On Lake Sunapee - 10 minutes from the ski resort

10/10 Excellent
"Happy Place exceeded all of our expectations! The house is even more beautiful than the photos and was perfect for our group of two adults, three teenagers, a younger child, and a water loving dog. There was plenty of space, comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, and everything was impeccably clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the washer and dryer were incredibly convenient. The deck overlooking a picture perfect view of Lake Sunapee quickly became our favorite spot for morning coffee and family dinners. The lake itself was the highlight. The water was crystal clear, clean, and the perfect temperature for swimming. The bottom is mostly sandy with a little natural debris and a few rocks near the shore, but no silty muck or weeds—you can see straight to the bottom! Some of us wore water shoes while others went barefoot, and everyone was comfortable. The kayaks and paddle boards were a fantastic bonus and were used every day.The house was well stocked with bath and beach towels, check-in and check-out were seamless. The neighborhood was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing, yet still conveniently located. Shaw's is about 20 minutes away, with several restaurants nearby. We also loved exploring Sunapee Harbor and New London. By far our favorite family lake house vacation—we hope to absolutely stay here again!"
