This hotel is the coolest hotel i have ever stayed at. Out of all the hotels i have stayed at, (and its been a lot) i have only loved 3 of them and this takes first place. We were coming from vaca and needed a place to stay between states. The name of the hotel popped up and i researched it and found an awesome story to go with it. We have actually been trying to find a hotel with a back story like this and the price was right. Not knowing what to expect with it being a hotel from out of state and not your average corporate chain, i was worried about what i was going to walk into. This place was amazing, Gorgeous, and perfect. The room was great with a great view, setup, good space, great decor', color scheme, big spacious fancy bathroom, walk in closet, hidden safe and fridge, and the view looking over the lake was a big bonus. With this being a nice elegant looking old time hotel I expected a lot of elders. I only saw young guests. The place was very quiet with plenty to do. My experience with the staff was nice. My experience with the guest was nice. I met a few new people so that was cool. Loved checking the place out and the back story made the adventure even better. Breakfast was free. Pool table was available at all hours. The elegant architect and decor' was my favorite thing about it. Loved the statues around the front desk too. Would have loved to see the Gold Room but had to leave early. Checkout time is also as late as i have ever seen it anywhere.
