I really our stay was amazing! We did this trip with our family but also as a second honeymoon. The resort went above and beyond and had a special banner on our door, a bottle of champagne, and decorative swans (made out of towels) that were placed on our bed. The resort itself was so beautiful and the safe was eager to please and make sure we had everything we needed and more. The only small downside (really didn’t even make us THAT disappointed) was we didn’t know you had to sign up for the activities offered. We wanted to do archery and found it was unstaffed if no one signed up for it on the days it was offered. But again, not that big of a deal because the beach and swim up bar took majority of our time.

Accommodations are nice, but the food at restaurants are not great. If they could get this right, then it would be a wonderful experience because the resort and rooms are great. The hot tub jets did not seem to work at the pools.

We stayed 6 nights in July of 2024. We absolutely loved the swim out room which leads right to the lazy river. We spent lots of time floating on the provided mats while being served drinks and snacks. Hugo went above and beyond with his excellent service. We most enjoyed the French restaurant. My husband enjoyed the seafood offerings at each restaurant, especially the ceviche. I loved the desserts, especially at the coffee shop! This resort is beautifully maintained and very clean. It is fun to see the numerous animals (Coati, iguana, capybara) and the gardens are gorgeous. The rooms are perfectly appointed with comfortable beds and cold air conditioning. In July, we expected to find seaweed on the beach. The facility works hard to keep it clean, but the water is not pleasant to swim in. We look forward to coming back in the winter for less seaweed..This is in no way the fault of the resort! We would definitely recommend the Excellence brand and look forward to trying all locations!

First stay at the Excellence Riviera Cancun and I can’t wait to go back! The property is pristine, service is stellar and the food was fantastic. Big shout out to Antonio who always kept our poolside guac and chips at the ready and Roger in entertainment was the best! Twice daily housekeeping with turndown service made this girls trip amazing.- you will not be disappointed! See you soon Cancun!

We couldn’t have asked for a better resort to spend our anniversary!! We went shortly after the hurricane and their workers worked tirelessly to make sure that the grounds, buildings and beach was prestige! From the moment they picked us up at the airport (definitely recommend getting their in house transportation), to check in, to every moment of the day, until check out, we were served with the utmost respect . Felt like royalty for a week!! We have been raving to our friends and family to definitely check out this resort for any occasion! Already looking ahead to return or try one of the other Excellence resorts!

Beautiful hotel with excellent food options. I’m usually tough to impress when it comes to food, but the dining options here we’re all great quality with great service. If you go to the Grill or Agave to eat, be sure to look for Juan. He gave us the best service there and helped make my wife’s birthday dinner extra special.

We stayed there for our anniversary and it exceeded all of our expectations. The staff were all so friendly and never too busy to make sure you were well taken care of. The entertainment was so much fun and very professional in their sound and their dancing. We smiled every day and enjoyed their food so much. You can tell that they really care about their guests and their employees. That is why I strongly recommend staying in this resort. The memories will be with us forever.
