Chesapeake City Hall Tours

We have been to Virginia Beach many times but this was our first time staying at the Colony. We were in one of the end rooms and found the floor plan worked very well and the rooms were spacious. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. The balcony was the largest of all of the places we had stayed at in Virgina Beach. The only downside to the balcony is that our room was very close to the neighboring hotel so there wasn't a feeling of privacy. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked a few small meals there and had no issues. All of the small appliances that we used worked but some could use updating. The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful. We had a trouble connecting to the WiFi when we arrived but once we contacted the office, it was resolved within minutes. We also liked that you were guaranteed a parking spot and didn't need to wonder if you'd be able to get another if you left. Some of them could be a little challenging to get in and out of, depending on the size of your vehicle. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and if we visit Virginia Beach again, the Colony will be at the top of our list when looking for a place to stay.
