No amenities at all.”

“My family has been staying at this hotel for decades, formerly known as The Crest. We stayed because it was a little hidden gem outside of town and it was cheap. After having been letdown by The Crest, twice within the last year and a half, we were a little leery of staying here again. We are so glad we gave it a shot. Now known as The Herondale. “Stayed for two nights in a suit with a kitchen and king bedroom. The room was spacious and very well maintained. It was a bit noisy being over the coffee shop but we didn’t mind. The location was walking distance to everything. We will happily stay here again and recommend it to our friends.”

“This is a quirky hotel, centrally located in Astoria, which is a sweet kind of frontier feeling town right on the mouth of the Columbia River. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself could use some updating. If you like boxy, chain hotels that are cookie cutter from town to town, this is not the hotel for you.
