“as a fan of one Lord Byron I was excited to stay here. the staff at the museum and the surrounding neighbors were so helpful, and thank goodness for that! as someone who came by cab and unfortunately arrived later than planned because both trains I took to get there arrived late - finding the keys after a 20 minute walk from the front gate to the Abbey was nearly impossible! first of all the check-in instructions have no code for the main gate in order to access the grounds. So it is impossible...

“We booked the cottage for a week's stay whike work was being done on our home. It was a real home from home too. Everything's there, including electric blankets to warm the beds. Although thd heating kept the cottage toasty, we turned most off except living room and bathroom. Loved the log burner too, a real focal point. Internet provided was good, a bonus as the phone signal there is poor, as is most of the local area due to hills etc. Would certainly recommend.”
