The hotel itself is adequate but not what one would expect from a four star property. The air conditioning didn't work well (which was problematic as we were visiting in July), and the sink/shower didn't drain properly with water backing up and pooling (which was gross). Net net, the property has decent bones but is clearly showing its age. The biggest issue is the poor service. There are two specific examples. First, we never received a package that was delivered to the hotel (USPS tracking showed that it was signed by the Teatro front desk). We emailed Matthew Slavsky (the manager of the hotel) twice but received no response. Second, after we left the hotel, we realized that we left our 5-year old daughters teddy in the room. We called and asked to have it shipped on our dime. The front desk member said they would take care of it right away, but after repeated calls and messages, we came to find out that it hadn't yet shipped until 10 days later. It was finally sent after we continually followed up. Again, we emailed Matthew to no avail - zero response. A very disappointing experience in total.

What a cute boutique style hotel!! It exceeded our expectations. It was an easy walk to Ball Arena which is why we booked but we will be back because of the service! All the staff was so great and accommodating. The manager was the best! Made us feel welcome, recommended things, and chatted with us throughout the visit. Top notch service! Thank you!!

We chose this hotel because it is dog friendly and they do not charge a pet fee. We were very impressed with everything. This historic hotel is just beautiful and close to green space for our dog. The room was spotless and comfortable. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the Nickel was delicious. The location is perfect; close to walking trails and restaurants and shops. Will definitely stay here again.

I came to Denver for a concert at the Ball Arena. The hotel was so close to the arena that I walked there. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Matthew at the front desk. I also enjoyed the staff at The Nickel, the restaurant at the hotel.

Staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant located on the property was nice and delicious. The only negative about this hotel is it’s an old building and the HVAC isn’t adequate. Our room would not cool down at all. Despite the “air conditioning”, the room stayed at 77 degrees all night. This place would be great to stay at between October and May. If you go there in the summer, expect to be uncomfortable with the temperature

We had a short one-night stay but enjoyed the hotel location & room. Access to bicycles (included in resort fee) was a plus. The hotel is located only a few blocks away from the Cherry Creek Bike Trail & network of Denver bike trails.

So I just want to start out and say that the staff at the hotel is excellent and extremely nice. This rating has nothing to do with the service. This has all to do with the terrible experience at this hotel first of I want to say that I spent a pretty penny to stay here and I have to be honest it wasn’t worth it. The room was extremely hot and there was a horrible sewer smell that honestly made me so sick I can’t even describe it. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet kept flushing itself lol overall it’s Denver there is plenty of other hotels that are much more clean. Save your money and go somewhere else! There is even a four seasons across the street!
