Top Derwentwater Hotel Reviews
The Edwardene
"The hotel was nice and quiet. We loved the breakkie"
Fellpack House
"All round excellent."
Crow Park Hotel
"Staff were all very helpful. Our very clean and comfortable room on the third floor had a wonderful view over Hope Gardens, Catbellsand beyond. Breakfast was very good. Really convenient car par parking but we were rather confused as whether or not it was free to hotel residents. No decaf tea available. A lounge would have been nice."
Rickerby Grange Country House
"A great place to stay within walking distance of Keswick. Stayed here quite a few times. Lovely breakfast. Rooms comfortable."
The Grange Country House
"Felt very welcome, comfortable rooms and communal areas and great breakfast. Will definitely return!"
Royal Oak at Keswick
"Faultless stay in this beautiful, conveniently located pub with accommodation. Great food also."
Mary Mount Hotel
"Beautiful view from the bedroom at the front of the hotel, and the location is gorgeous. The actual hotel would do with a bit of modernising- it’s not “old” as such, just showing some signs of wear in places- a lick of paint and a new carpet in the dining area would go a long way. However, it does still look nice. The shower is not powerful and the toilet flushes for a really long time for the pump to refill. In room toiletries are small and basic. The cleaning is not great- main areas are fine, but cobwebs on the lamp in the dining area are not good. But……. This hotel more than makes up for this in location, staff and food. The staff are truly lovely-friendly warm and helpful - but not false with it. The steak pie, the chips, the sandwiches and the lamp rump are all excellent. Plenty of variety and breakfast and quality was good. The walk around Derwent water was gorgeous and this hotel is close to Keswick- via foot bus or car. We much preferred the quiet of the hotel to Keswick which was very busy."
Dalegarth House
"Rooms were spotless . Very welcoming people , parking is a must. Breakfast was 10/10. Highly recommend anyone to stay here. Views from the rooms are stunning. I will stay again."
Brandlehow - a house that sleeps 7 guests in 4 bedrooms
"Had a fantastic stay at Brandlehow. The location is unbeatable, with stunning views over Derwentwater and direct access to the lake. The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing family break. We especially loved spending time in the garden taking in the incredible scenery. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Lake District."
