“Though bijou, it was well designed and the space was very well used. The outside space was good and lovely to have the hills around, We did have problems using the very modern microwave/grill and cooker - It needed DETAILED WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS! and we would have preferred an ordinary electric kettle. A corkscrew, too would have been useful!But, we enjoyed a wonderful 2 days”

“The actual house was fantastic. Found free parking a few streets away. A little further away from Bowness than I had realised, but it’s a lovely walk down to the water (about 20mins on foot). But just a few streets over from bars, pubs, restaurants and other shops. Far enough away that it’s lovely and quiet at night. Very private overall and the facilities were great. And absolutely spotless! Would definitely recommend staying here. ”

“Overall we had a lovely time in Ambleside, the house itself was a bit grubby could do with a thorough clean, it said onsite parking on Expedia there is no parking it wasn’t a problem we parked in the village and paid £8 a day but shouldn’t be wrongly advertised, we tried to contact the property owners a couple of times about parking and the rubbish collection but still waiting for a reply, it is a lovely little house in a good location.”

“This was our 3rd stay at Fairbank and we book it purely for the location: love the ease of access to the town centre, yet there's a feeling of being in the countryside due to the quiet lane and view of the river and park. The house is absolutely fine: the bed is comfy, it's warm and has a little suntrap of a garden at the back. If I were to suggest improvements it would be: provide a long length mirror and a large pot for cooking. We'll definitely be back!!!”
